The GENERATION Fleadh Council engages with the GENERATION Fleadh team to ensure all aspects of programming remain relevant to young adults interested in film culture.

Siún Ní Raghallaigh

Caoimhín Hynes 

Caoimhín is a Leaving Cert student in Galway. His favourite movie genres are comedy-dramas, sci-fi, and biopics, and his favourite director is Wes Anderson. He was recently on the Generation Jury for the 2025 Galway Film Fleadh and enjoys meeting new people over a shared love of film.

Eabha Leech

Eabha is a 24-year-old film enthusiast and amateur film photographer from Galway. A recent graduate of the University of Galway with a BA in Film and Digital Media, she is particularly passionate about championing women’s voices in cinema. Eabha gained valuable radio experience with Galway Bay FM, where she shared her love for film through a weekly segment. She is thrilled to be returning to GENERATION Fleadh for the second year.

Edith Anderson 

Edith Anderson is a 17-year-old film and music lover from Galway attending Colaiste Einde secondary school. When she is not playing guitar with her band Silk Road, she loves to watch old movies as well as attending the Galway Film Fleadh every summer. Her favourite films are Picnic at Hanging Rock and North by Northwest.

Greta Thornton

Greta Thornton is a 21-year-old Irish filmmaker and has just graduated this year with a BA in Film & Documentary from Atlantic Technological University Galway. She has been filmmaking since she was 13 years old, gaining international and national experiences in both documentary and fiction short films. Her dissertation “The Emergence of Irish language films nationally and internationally” explores her passion for Irish language films, how they began and the audiences’ thoughts of them today.

June Utke

June Utke recently graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin with a BA in Art History and Culture Studies. Her thesis examined the role of the Irish language in Kneecap, reflecting her passion for how film and the world continually shape and direct each other. As a teacher’s assistant she has helped organise university courses, including events at Berlinale, and her favourite films include Viktoria, Submarine, Paddington 2 and The Outrun.

Keelan Gallagher 

My name is Keelan Gallagher; I’m a 17 year old leaving cert student film-maker with a passion in the art of film making in both Irish & English. I started out film making through Irish & began film making in English about two to three years ago. I spend a lot of my free time writing short film scripts & attending courses to help expand my knowledge on film making. I’m very excited at the opportunity to be apart of this years Generation Fleadh’s Jury and look forward to it”.

Lillian Murray

Lillian is a student and film lover from Galway. She participated on the Generation Jury at the 2024 Film Fleadh as well as the Generation Council from last year’s Generation Fleadh. Her favourite genres include horror, fantasy, thriller and drama.

“Since joining the Gen Council last year, I’ve had the privilege of hosting Q&As with filmmakers and engaging in conversations that celebrate the power of cinema. These experiences have been invaluable to me as a film student and aspiring filmmaker. I look forward to continuing this journey with another year of inspiring films and discussions”.

Niamh Maguire

Niamh is a recent graduate of the University of Galway’s Film and Digital Media course. She is a big fan of the Fleadh, having volunteered three times, as well as being part of this year’s Generation Jury. She is delighted to be involved in the Generation Fleadh for the first time. She is a massive cinephile, with a particular love for films not in the English language.

Rohan Coleman

Rohan Coleman is a Journalism and Digital Communications student, with a focus on arts and entertainment reporting. He has experience discussing and reviewing film across digital and print publications, radio and social media. He is incredibly passionate about movies and spends most of his free time watching films from his endless watchlist.

Saibh Malcolm

Saibh is a 20 year old filmmaker and photographer from Galway. After finishing a PLC in Film and Television Production in 2023 she has been working on various short films, including taking part in the recent Galway 48 Hour Film Challenge 2025. She spends her free time writing and watching her favourite films ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ and ‘Me Before You’.

Zach Ó Maonagrian 

Zach is a 20-year-old film lover and student from Galway. As a dedicated writer and filmmaker, he has created numerous short films which have screened at festivals across Ireland. Zach’s passion for storytelling and filmmaking drives his creative pursuits and academic endeavors. Zach is currently pursuing a degree in film at University of Galway.
