There will be weather cover via a stretch tent. Seats are provided and all screenings will take place regardless of rain.

Special Assistance & Venue Accessibility

Fr. Burke Park will be wheelchair accessible. Please advise us of any special needs or seating requirements at the time of booking.

Here are some things to consider before you visit, to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience at Galway Film Fleadh 2021. 

The safety of our visitors, staff, artists and volunteers is our paramount concern. We have been working hard behind the scenes to put measures in place to ensure that you can enjoy your visit safely and peacefully.

Face coverings are mandatory while attending both indoor and outdoor events in Ireland.

Outdoor Screening Location:

Fr Burke Park is on Fr Griffin Rd. 

Directions:

Directions from Galway City Centre and approaches from the East
At the bottom on Quay St continue past Jury’s Inn, across Wolfe Tone Bridge, through the traffic lights at the Fire Station (which is on the left) and you come to Fr Burke Park on the right. 

 Directions from Salthill and approaches from the West
If approaching from the Millenium Bridge, Newcastle or NUIG direction turn left onto the Crescent at the Taylor’s Hill junction.  Then turn left at the next traffic lights at the T junction near Joyce’s supermarket.  Fr Burke Park is on the left.

If approaching from Salthill either continue along the prom past Toft Park on the left or, if coming from Salthill village, turn left before the Maxol Garage, keeping left at the next junction and continue straight to and through the traffic lights at the junction with The Crescent near Joyce’s supermarket.  Fr Burke Park is on the left. 

Parking:

Parking is available at all of the City Centre surface and multi-story car parks, the closest being at the Claddagh Church on Claddagh Quay or at Jury’s Inn.   

Your visit

Contact Tracing 

Where possible, to ensure a safe, controlled environment we would recommend that patrons book their screenings in advance on our booking platform. 

During the booking process you will be asked for certain mandatory booking information, including your phone number which, under current guidelines, we will use for contact tracing purposes.  

In the event of an outbreak within a Film Fleadh venue we are obliged, under HSE guidelines to share the following information with the HSE:  

  • Your name 
  • The total number of guests/tickets you booked 
  • A phone number  
  • The date of your visit 

 In line with the data protection commission this information will be held for 28 days solely for the purposes of contact tracing and will be disposed of after that time in accordance with GDPR.

Before you visit, we recommend that you download the HSE COVID tracker App. 

Please do not attend if any of the following apply to you:  

  • if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 
  • If you are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test  
  • If you are self-isolating or restricting your movements 
  • If you have been diagnosed with confirmed COVID-19 infection in the last 10 days 
  • If you are a close contact of a person who is a confirmed case COVID-19 in the past 14 days (i.e. less than 2m for more than 15 MINUTES), or of someone who is awaiting a test result 
  • If a doctor has advised you to self isolate 
  • If you have returned from international travel and are not in compliance with government guidance 

Group Size
Up to six individuals can attend together.
If you are booking tickets on behalf of others you can book up to six tickets online. Larger groups cannot be accommodated.  

If you feel ill while in attendance
Please ensure that you are wearing your mask and notify a member of staff or volunteer while keeping a 2-metre distance from other visitors and staff who will contact the on duty First Aid Responder who will bring you to the isolation space for an assessment.  

Hand Sanitiser
Please use the hand sanitiser which is available at the entrance and exit.  

Social Distancing
Please follow the directions of our staff and volunteers, observe social distancing guidelines, and respect any maximum capacity signage that you see.
