Longlisted for the 2024 Oscars®, Being Put Back Together follows the journey of Kaylen McDonagh as he discovers photography and how it helps him as he deals with life’s difficulties. Through the film we witness the changes in Kaylen as he reflects on his life.  

Winning the short documentary award at Galway Film Fleadh 2023, the jury noted that the film was,  

“… a poignant thought-provoking portrait of a photographer and his brother grappling with mental health issues. Authentic, Stark and beautiful and unexpected, with real edge.” 

A post screening discussion/workshop will follow with director David McDonagh and producer Keith Bogue
