In the middle of Duisburg, on the social edge of Germany, there is hope. A group of young migrant men are fighting for a better future. Their battlefields: Schools, sports fields and gambling halls. Their goal: the liberation of young men from sexism, anti-Semitism and homophobia. Their weapons: Humour, self-confidence and theatre. In their own way, they destroy every prejudice. 

Heroes accompanies trainers Susanne, Selim and Memo as they prepare the young Heroes for the examination to become multipliers. Viewers are invited to immerse themselves in the compelling world of these young men with diverse backgrounds, illuminating the transformative power of realising that one’s character is shaped by their upbringing.
