Thank you to this year’s Generation Jury (made up of young people aged 16-18 years old attending secondary school in Galway City and County) who viewed 5 films during the Fleadh including

the documentaries Erasmus in Gaza, Afghan Dreamers, French drama Ma Nuit, Finnish coming of age story Girl Picture and US indie title Stay Away. It was a difficult decision as each film had many merits. Eventually our jury decided on Stay Away as a worthy winner for its realistic portrayal of the effects of parental addiction on the lives of siblings Ethan and Derek.
