Pitching Competition

Ten finalists have been selected for the annual Pitching Competition, sponsored by Wild Atlantic Pictures. The finalists will pitch their film projects as an ‘Elevator Pitch’ of 90 seconds, in front of an audience and a panel of industry judges.  

The 10 Finalists for the 2025 competition are: 

Dumped – Michael Mullen
McClory The Battle for 007 by Neil McDonnell
Breaking Ballyseedy – Sean Connolly
Faking It – Libby McCormack
The Body & Blood – Carol Murphy
The Wedding of Mary Catherine – Martin Beanz Warde
Living in the Bonds – Naoimh Looney
Clara Murphy Loves April From Mars – Shaunna Lee Lynch
Copper Alley – Janna Kemperman
Coffin Ship – Barney Taylor 

This year’s panel of judges is:  
Ursula Devine – The lead on Independent Film at Northern Ireland Screen, running scripted development of feature film, TV drama and comedy. Her works include: Kneecap, Bad Day for the Cut, and In the Land of Saints and Sinners. 

David Rocchio – Attorney, writer, and filmmaker for Stowe Story Labs. David founded and runs Stowe Story Labs, a Vermont-based nonprofit dedicated to helping top emerging screenwriters, filmmakers, and creative producers develop skills and projects. 

Dearbhla Regan – Head of Film and Talent Development for Wild Atlantic Pictures. Previously was a projector manager for Screen Ireland and produced such films as An Cailín Cúin, Pray for Our Sinners, Dating amber, and Mr. Malcom’s List. At Wild Atlantic Pictures, she is responsible for leading a busy and diverse film slate with a lean toward genre and working with writing and directing talent.  

Join in the excitement at the Galmont Hotel on Sunday 13th of July at 12 pm to see these 10 finalists present their projects and compete for a cash prize of €3000. The winner will be announced at the Film Fleadh Awards Ceremony at 6pm that evening.
