Spurred by the emigration of his best friend, and the loss of his job, Benny throws together a drink-fuelled Sunday league football team as a means of holding onto his friends – all in an effort to avoid moving forward in life. This reckless spiral that also sparks a relationship with his equally lost-in-life housemate, Laura.

The football, and relationship, create momentum in the pair’s stagnating lives. However, their progress is derailed by an inevitable break-up, and quickly waning team spirit for the Sunday league.
