After a youth is tortured by the police, a riot explodes on the streets of Paris. Vinz, Said and Hubert find a gun lost by the police in the riots and threaten to kill a cop if their friend dies.

Mathieu Kassovitz’s sensational second feature as a director changed the cultural landscape of French cinema when it landed at the Cannes Film Festival in 1995, winning the Best Director prize. It went on to become one of the defining films of its generation and a stone-cold classic of Nineties cinema.
