11:50: France In Focus: Case Study on Anatomy of a Fall & French Irish Co-Production  

With five Academy Award nominations and a Palme d’Or win, Anatomy of a Fall achieved incredible arthouse success through a combination of strong critical acclaim, prestigious festival play, and impressive box office performance, particularly in France and internationally.  

As Ireland focuses on increase production activity with France, David Thion and Marie-Ange Luciani guide us through the journey of Justine Triet’s film from development to sales to a successful international awards campaign. The panel will also explore French Irish co-production opportunities.

13:30: Stories to Move the World: Christy and Blue Road are two incredible films which have achieved international acclaim on the world stage this year. Local stories with universal themes which have connected with audiences around the globe.  The director and producer of both films will take us through the challenges of successful low budget production models, the opportunities of regional production and the marketing campaign to help these films break through.

14:30: The creative journey from script to screen – the art of the creative relationship between a writer, a producer and a director to maximize the creative process.

Panelists: Brock Norman Brock (Scriptwriter), Ruth Treacy (Creative Producer), Molly O’Driscoll (Script Editor), Dearbhla Regan (Head of Film & Talent Development, Wild Atlantic Pictures), chaired by Keith Potter.
15:30  Opportunities for Canadian Co-production: Fireside chat with Amy Cameron, producer of Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Screen Ireland’s Head of Television Kate McColgan, to explore opportunities for co-producing with Canada.
