Lena is a cheerful student who firmly believes in happiness and the good in people. As part of a social project, she is sent to work as a writing coach for Hugo Drowak, who has long since lost his inspiration and lives alone in a run-down tower block. Despite his notorious nastiness, Lena doesn’t give up, leading to an unlikely friendship as he finally starts to let the creative process take hold.
