A stunning science-fiction epic, The Fin takes place in a post-war and ecologically devastated Korea, where mutated outcasts called Omegas are exploited as cheap labour. Sujin, a young government worker, begins to doubt the state’s ideology as she pursues Mia, an Omega in hiding. An experimental, visually arresting film, with an otherworldly score, which gives us something to root for between Sujin and Mia, while interrogating the horrors of authoritarian dystopia.
