Step Into the Casting Room: A Self-Tape Workshop with Thyrza Ging & Cassandra Han

Sat 11 July 2026 | 14:30 – 16:00 | Ballroom 3, Galmont Hotel

As part of the Galway Film Fair, Casting Society (CSA) Global Chapter, Spotlight and Filmmakers Europe are offering actors a unique opportunity to gain invaluable insight from internationally acclaimed casting directors Thyrza Ging and Cassandra Han.

This exclusive workshop is free to attend – Supported by Spotlight, Casting Society’s (CSA) Global Chapter and Filmmakers Europe.

Actors are invited to submit a self-taped monologue for the chance to secure one of 30 places at this special event. Three selected participants will receive live feedback on their self-tapes from Thyrza and Cassandra, while all attendees will benefit from expert guidance and industry insight.

Drawing on their extensive experience casting film and television projects around the world, Thyrza and Cassandra will use selected self-tapes as case studies to explore what makes an audition stand out in today’s competitive industry. Attendees will gain practical advice on performance, presentation, technical quality, and the realities of the modern casting process.

Whether you’re just starting out or are an established actor looking to refine your audition technique, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from two leading voices in international casting.
