NTA VFX and NTA Film & TV are delighted to present Smart VFX: Maximising Production Value While Managing Costs as part of Galway Film Fair 2026. 

Designed for producers, directors, filmmakers, and those new to working with or in VFX, this session will explore how visual effects can be used strategically to reduce costs, unlock creative opportunities, and improve production efficiency at every stage of a project. 

Through a practical script-to-screen approach, the panel will examine how early planning, effective collaboration, and informed decision-making can help maximise both creative ambition and budgetary resources. Panellists will share insights into how VFX budgets are structured in real-world productions, highlight common pitfalls to avoid, and offer practical advice on getting the most value from VFX throughout the production process. 

Whether you are planning your first VFX-heavy project or looking to better integrate visual effects into your production workflow, this session will provide valuable tools and perspectives for making smarter creative and financial decisions.

This event is recommended for filmmakers at all career stages, particularly, Producers, Directors, Editors, Cinematographers, Production Crew, Emerging filmmakers and anyone interested in the creative and practical possibilities of using VFX to enhance production value, improve efficiency, and maximise resources on screen. 

Whether you are working on shorts, features, television, or commercial projects, this session will provide practical insights into how VFX can support both the creative and financial goals of a production. 

Advance registration is essential as places are limited, and demand is expected to be high.
