On the edge of California’s Sonoran Desert lies Slab City, a near-lawless squatter town inhabited by nomads, anarchists, and outcasts. Within this off-grid community, a group of queer and trans youths create a vibrant haven known as Flamingo Camp. In the hot summer months, the stress of survival comes to a boil.
