Cellissimo

We’re thrilled to be working with Music for Galway to present Berlin-based Galway filmmaker Maclaine Black’s short film Cellissimo – named after the local cello festival – which follows five international cello students around Galway during the 2024 edition of the festival. They study with internationally acclaimed cellists, perform a series of small pop-up concerts, and end with their showcase in the Town Hall Theatre.

This beautiful short film will be preceded by a solo recital from Margarita Guerrero, the current Cellissimo Ambassador.
