Making a Short Film on Your Smartphone Workshop

The Junior Galway Film Fleadh, in association with the National Network of Young Irish Film Makers & Animators is delighted to present a FREE Filmmaking Workshop (Making a Short Film on Your Smartphone) with Robert Fitzhugh from The Dublin Smartphone Film Festival. It takes place on Saturday 10th December from 12 to 4pm in the O’Donoghue Centre, University of Galway followed by a screening of the short.

Working from a prepared script this hands-on workshop will include a step-by-step breakdown of the filmmaking process from script to editing and will be followed by a screening of the short film. Participants will come away armed with new skills and know-how.

To take part you will need a smartphone and to have downloaded some free software called CapCut.

The Dublin Smartphone Film Festival is more than a festival. For the last 5 years it has worked to try and make filmmaking more accessible to everyone.
