Karima Saïdi’s profound documentary, Those Who Watch Over, explores the ways in which the descendants of immigrants – Christian, Jewish, and Muslim – visit their deceased. Set entirely within the walls of Brussels’ multifaith cemetery, intimate encounters reveal how the cemetery becomes a place full of life, a neighbourhood where different communities co-exist while respecting each other’s practices.
