Constance Tsang’s debut feature, Blue Sun Palace explores the lives of transient souls trying to find a sense of permanence in working class Queens. When wayward Taiwanese immigrant Cheung finds his life of part-time work and light extramarital affairs shattered by violence, he connects with Amy and Didi, two Chinese migrants – victims themselves to the indignities forced upon strangers in a strange land. When tragedy strikes on Lunar New Year, Amy is forced to consider her own destiny for the first time. Presented in collaboration with the East Asia Film Festival Ireland (EAFFI).
