“In this short art doc, director Brendan Byrne genuinely captures the beauty of Colin Davidson’s paintings, as his paintings, in-turn, capture the human beauty of their subjects. ”
Hear My Voice is a cinematic tribute to those who suffered loss as a result of the Northern Irish conflict (1968-1998). Timed to mark the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, the film is inspired by artist Colin Davidson’s elegiac exhibition of paintings, Silent Testimony.
The film gives a voice to those citizens who are still paying the price of Northern Ireland’s peace today, their experiences as relevant to those in other cauldrons of conflict such as Syria, Iraq and Rohinga.
Director Brendan Byrne and artist Colin Davidson will attend this special short film presentation and discussion, in honour of the victims represented and to mark the 20th anniversary of The Good Friday Agreement.
Tickets are available free-of-charge.
