“One of a number of films this year documenting the endurance of Irish characters.” — WF
The Coast to Coast journey begins at the mouth of the Boyne in Mornington on Ireland’s Ancient East. A group of walkers follow the river for four days – nearly to its source – before meeting the Grand Canal at Edenderry. The route then continues on to cross the Shannon at Portumna before entering the West. Travelling through southern Galway, the walkers go through Gort and Lough Graney before negotiating the Burren. The last leg of this mammoth walk is the sighting of the Atlantic as the weary group reach their final destination, the Cliffs of Moher.
